Madden’s Casual Gourmet
was opened by
Peter and Tara
Madden in June
2004. Since
then, the
restaurant and
Chef Madden have
enjoyed great
success and
recognition for
providing
excellent food
and service in
Bryan/College
Station.
|
Chef Madden has
worked in food
service over
twenty years,
and has had
experience in
virtually every
position in a
restaurant. He
received formal
training in
Dallas, Texas,
where he
attended a
culinary
apprenticeship
program. The
program included
class work and
an internship.
He counts
himself
fortunate to
have apprenticed
at the renowned
Crescent Court
Hotel where he
developed a
desire for
expert precision
and
professionalism
in the kitchen.

 |
In 2002, he joined
the Texas Chefs
Association and shortly
thereafter achieved
Executive Chef
Certification through
the American Culinary
Federation. In 2003, he
received a Brazos Valley
Chef of the year
nomination, and in 2004
he was elected Chef of
the year and Director of
the local chapter.
Madden’s stays active in
the community through
local nonprofit support
and donations and has
been featured in
Southern Living magazine
as well as several local
publications.
